The Akashic Library
There seems to exist, beyond the scope of our understanding,
an astounding compendium of all events; past present and future; an incoherent
admixture of all labels, only made coherent by the observation of feelings, and
patterns created by the observer. Instinct is one of the few demonstrations
whereby we witness animal access to these records.
As with awareness in general, The Akashic Records are not
kept in any order, as we would think of order. Were it a human-library, we would
likely try to file things based on subjects or authors, and then place the
volumes in well-defined sections. Of course, we would like to be able to see
the contents within time as well. If fish were in charge of the library, humans
would be amazed, but unable to find anything as a result of our
less-than-fishlike navigation skills.
I don't mean to suggest that The Akashic Record does not include
information; it is literally packed with all of the information that has ever,
or will ever exist, but none of the information is labeled according to the
latest incarnation of labels, and words alone would never do, as they never mean
the same thing, year after year.
There is something far more informative than words, labels,
objects or environments. Ironically, we have commonly labeled the effect
of accessing these archives with the following term: Gut-instinct.
The question of whether or not our gut could even have
instinctual prompts could only be answered by the Akashic Librarian.
Furthermore, we often encourage one another to seek the
guidance of The Akashic Record, when we say things like, “Follow your heart.”
What on earth does that mean? Well, it seems to mean very
little on earth, but according to some higher degree of our mysterious, and perhaps a more mystical experience, this term seems to imply that we cannot always count on our
thoughts alone. It suggests we should be able to feel navigation prompts; even
when we cannot fully explain where the prompts come from
This infers our link to The Akashic Record. Some would call
it spiritual; others would call it intuition, but either way, it’s not really,
rational thought.
When I was selling real estate, I would always listen for
clues from my buyers. In most cases, it was much harder to find the right property
for a buyer who is determined to think through the process. They would give me
a list of must-haves and I could find a property, using those very parameters
and it would not fit them. On the other hand, the best experiences were when a buyer
considered properties based on how the properties made them feel.
“I can see myself living here.” A gut-buyer might say.
I never question comments like this. But if the buyer sees such
things, should we say they are hallucinating or is it something much deeper
than that?
This is an example of someone accessing The Akashic Record,
where they “see” the future and the result of making the decision they are
about to make. This is a future-informed-present-moment and it is solid.
Do those clients know they’ve found this record? Have they
even heard of The Akashic Record? That is kind of unlikely, but The Record can
be stumbled upon as easily as it can be found by looking for it.
It is not at all necessary to discover these records and
learn how to read and interpret them; it is much more important to feel and to
listen to that wordless voice.
I once heard a story about my Great-Grandmother, Isabelle Wood. I was told she would walk to neighbor’s
houses whenever someone on the mountain had passed, and she would prepare the
body for viewing. One night, over 100 years ago, while walking home in the dark,
after doing this for a nearby family's matriarch, my great-grandmother came to a
clearing she’d walked through on many occasions. Somehow, this night was
different and she froze. She had not heard anything. She did not see anything. However,
Belle Wood knew to go home a different way. The way she chose was darker and it
would take even longer, but whatever was waiting for her on the original path
could not be ignored. Furthermore, it could never be explained. Until her death,
many years later, she would always say that if she had not reacted to that
feeling, she would not have survived that night.
I wasn’t there. I did not feel what she felt. I cannot
explain her response. But I do understand, and I have since had my own
premonitions about what lies ahead. That word, premonition, literally means to
forewarn; it comes to us from Latin origins which would have meant, “Before thought.”
(pre = before + men = to think).
Exploring and understanding The Akashic Record requires
premonition, and if you decide to use words to translate The Record, you will
need to convert feelings into thoughts; not an easy thing to do.
Most skills can be performed to their maximum level if
performed without conscious thought.
So, instead of asking yourself to explain your motives to
yourself, ask yourself how it makes you feel. Leave it to The Record.
