GOAM

I preach love often. It was also a word Jesus floated a lot. He seemed to test every crowd’s reaction to the idea that we should love each other. But at 33, a crowd turned him in for his ideas and demanded he be killed.

People still get really pissed off when you try to herd them into the turnstiles of love. They think you mean to slaughter their freedom, their drives and desires. As soon as you try to put forth the idea that we could have a better world if we got along, someone will give you their reasons for resisting the idea.

So, as a former-proponent of love, I have decided to be a non-member of a scattered class; We are The Gnosis-Osmosis-Anti-Movement (GOAM).

Allow me to break it down:

Osmosis is something like passing through, assimilating to the crowd, and completely understanding them, without blending in or diluting yourself.

Gnosis is intuitive knowledge of spiritual truths. It is worthy to note that gnosis is not based on facts which line up with formulas; such as with math. Gnosis is “Felt Knowledge”, and it is very difficult to pass along for this reason.

Now, it is also good to know that we have millions of non-members. We don’t tend to form groups because it would not be in our nature to exclude anyone, and if you don’t exclude extremists, you end up being a part of an agnostic/gnostic/religious group, and with a lens as wide as humanity, we already know that this would be an inert body, where you become a protagonist surrounded by antagonists; which for the GOAM, is the very definition of society. And instead of fitting in anywhere, we become what I refer to as Gershom. See my blog on Gershom: https://theeternalpathoflife.blogspot.com/2025/06/the-myth-of-gershom.html

The basic meaning of that term is: A stranger there.

Naturally, this causes some inner struggles for the GOAMers. Knowing what we say we know about Love and its miraculous potential, as well as The Human Imagination and its creative abilities, we would love to share these ideas and see the whole world tuning all of the instruments to try just one song.

As Jim Rohn discussed in a metaphor, going to a concert hall before a show, and listening to the players as they tune up and prepare for the concert, you’d think it was total chaos, but then you may realize that it was necessary after all, if you stay for the concert, when everyone finally plays their complimentary parts.

I still believe Love will be the encore song of humanity. Everything we do between now and then is chaos, but that’s necessary.

Even the players who seem completely off are a part of tomorrows harmonics. I am older now and I sometimes end up navigating among a clowder of younger people. Of course I don’t fit in. And when I hear them plucking on their often disrespectful strings, I don’t want to be a part of their thing. It has been a while for me and I have almost forgotten what it’s like to find your key in this world. Some teenagers are wound way too tight. They’ll find out the hard way, or they’ll back off on the tension soon enough. Some young people are too loose and they rattle against the public instrument; it’s a lazy start for strings that barely make a sound, but those same strings could be the ones that resonate the most when they bring their ideas up an octave.

But the thing I hope you’ll take away is this: There is only one orchestra and it can’t even go on without you. The part you play is vital, whether you come in on the intro or later on, during a moment of silence. You are as important as any other player and what I have just described is Love. It’s not something you do, it is what you are already a part of. Love is The Environment of The Play. You will see, when we finally get together, and find our own notes, what develops will be Musica Universalis. If you feel off today, nothing is wrong; you’re just tuning.

You ready?

1 2 3 Love.
