Mindset

I have made it my mission to consider successful people and their imaginations. There is a common theme, but it seems a bit more obvious when I consider the very unsuccessful people and their imaginations.

Having a strong imagination has the effect of moving us into the very situations we’ve imagined. Setting the stage is extremely helpful.

In the real estate industry, there are companies whose mission is to stage homes. Some even do this virtually; placing digital furniture in an image of an empty room. For buyers without strong imaginations, these images can properly set the stage for the imagination.

What’s the point?

If a buyer has not made a decision, revving up, or igniting their imagination, may move them to make a decision in the seller’s favor.

Whether staged virtually or organically, the imagination is a force. An image of a living room without furniture is not always enough to give one the feeling they might have, were the same room filled with comfortable looking furniture.

And this brings me to the key-word: Feeling.

Having the feeling is miraculous. It is especially important to imagine how it would feel if it were so.

How would it feel to have what you desire right now? If you can imagine such a feeling, it is possible that you will experience some movement in that very direction.

When you were a child, could you cup your hands and make the sound of a crowd? Did you ever imagine yourself being introduced and hearing such cheers? Many of our greatest entertainers felt that feeling, long before actual crowds were ever involved.

“I just knew.”

I have heard that one quite often. It has been referred to, by some, as “Creative Visualization”. How can visualization be creative? The imagination, as I have said, is a force.

A very interesting study has shown that lottery winners often find themselves right back where they left off; with their old lifestyle and all of its challenges. I believe this is due to the fact that the power of their imagination brought their former state to mind too often. In the same way, there are some very wealthy people who have lost everything by some unforeseen calamity and yet, they find themselves right back on top. In such cases, the one, unsinkable ship was the one on which their imagination travels.

This applies to you if you will remember to keep your imagination safe. If you cannot imagine a better future than your present state, it is likely that your present state will hold you hostage until a stronger imagination comes along.

If you are in a dreadful situation and cannot imagine a way out, then the way out can be very concealed. The vision of a transcendent scenario is the bridge to that scenario. Don’t focus on the closed doors; imagine one opening.

The evidence of the power of the imagination is too convincing to overlook. It is not the same as desire. In fact, desire includes the vision of not-having. To focus on what you want is to use the power of your imagination to strengthen the state of desire. Enlarging your state of desire, with your imagination, is to fix desire as the end result. To desire is to go on desiring. To imagine any other state, as if it were so, is to move in that direction.

Wanting something and having the same thing will yield two different feelings. Having the feeling of having precedes having. Having the feeling of wanting ends with wanting.

How can you have the feeling of having? You have to be childlike. You have to cup your hands and make the sound of a crowd and you have to believe that crowd is cheering for you. Without childlike imagination, you can’t enter.

Can I explain this force? Not entirely. It would be easier to explain gravity and I come up short there too. I can say that the stronger the imagination, the more it evokes from this field. Add to your imagination as the images arrive. You’ll create a vacuum by stacking details into your imagination. Place digital details within your imagination. See your friends as they react to your situation. See how easy it would be to write a check for $1,000,000, and write that check with your imagination and exchange it for something else you’ve imagined. The rewards of a vivid imagination will stack, one on top of the other, until the imagined results will begin to materialize. This exercise can be just like a trip to the gym. You’ll want to do repetitions. If you want to build bulk, lift heavier visions and push them until veins bulge in your neck and on your head. If you really want massive results, then work out your imagination for hours every day.

Try not to think of your imagined results as desires; they are opposites and they tend to cancel each other out. Try to think of your imagined results as reality; they are one in the same and they tend to build up your future.

Don’t think of it as hard; think of it as play. We are all playing. Play the part you want to play and that will be your part.
