The Master Gardener
Why do you suppose we are here?
It is not to fight wars. The people we’d need to kill are
God’s people just as much as we are. It is not so we can make money. Money is
merely faith in our own currency—a promissory note of mutual trust. Yet we
trade our actual, living value for paper that holds no intrinsic truth. If you
give something of value to get it, you should be able to get something of value
for it. That is the definition of faith. We are not here to compete with each
other. We are not here to build buildings. We are here to multiply.
It is not humanity we need to multiply; it is joy. If The
Universe wanted more humans, clouds of embryos would develop and it would rain
babies. Gaining an entire planet full of humans and losing love would be a complete
waste of a human system.
Make a list of things you think God could create out of thin
air: mountains of pure gold, sprawling mansions, star systems, and endless
beauty.
Perhaps it would be easier to make a list of what God cannot
do without you.
If anything at all could find its way onto that list, would
it not fall into the obvious category of why you are here?
There is only one thing of value that God cannot do without
you. Without you, it is impossible for God to not know who He is. As soon as
you were born, not knowing who you really are, you became a free-will agent who
could live a disposable life or a lifetime of gathering and giving joy.
The sharing of joy has to take place between two or more
people who feel joy and sorrow. God could not feel the emptiness of sorrow, or
the fullness of joy, without being conscious; and that is where you are needed.
The accumulation of shared joy is how the universe is growing, nurturing, and
developing God. Yes, you came to the garden. You are planted. Be a fruit.
"And the joy we share as we tarry there..."
God is Love, and Love is the environment out of which all
things are planted to grow.
God Himself planted you, weeds around you, waters you, and
watches you grow. With His hand, God gently pulls your leaves back to see if
you have yielded fruit. That would be joy. When He sees that you have fruit for
harvesting, God, the gardener, becomes The Other.
"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of
these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
What is joy? Joy is how Love feels. How can you share it? By
being that which makes one feel Love
God wants to feel joy, so He became flesh
Joy is like sustenance. It will always be provided. It is
the same as manna. It is out there every day: "Give us this day our daily
bread.
As the receiver of joy, you forget who you are, but as a
perfect remedy for sorrow, you find Love. As a giver of this same joy, you
forget who you are, but as a perfect sacrifice, you give your own life for
another.
